On our first visit to Villiersdorp, the beauty of the location amazed us. The orchards, high mountains and huge expanse of the Theewaterskloof Dam were a glorious surprise to us, first time visitors. We remember thinking, “How could we have lived in the Western Cape for so long and not have known about this place?” Now we have the pleasure of welcoming you to our own Villiersdorp Guest House.
We're not sure of the exact date that the house was built, but we do know that it is one of the oldest in the village. Using the architectural style and building materials as a guideline, we know it is over 100 years old. The thick walls are built with unbaked clay bricks and the original wooden floors, ceilings and doors add to the feeling of experiencing a by-gone era. The house is comfortable, homely, a little quirky and full of country charm making it the perfect Villiersdorp b&b.
Add to this the glorious mountain views and we have a perfect recipe for relaxation.
